If you haven’t watched the Part One video yet, be sure to do so to learn how to connect your water source to the drip tape using poly tubing.

Additionally, watch our video on How to Install Drip Tape, where Tricia explains the installation process in detail.

Facts About Drip Tape

  • Drip tape is ideal for vegetable gardens requiring even watering.
  • It features little slits (Chapin brand) or embedded emitters (Cascade brand) every eight inches to deliver water directly to your plants.
  • Drip tape is designed for straight-line installation only.
  • Available in two weights: 8 mil and 15 mil.
  • Works best at low pressure, typically under 10 psi.

Installing Drip Tape

  • Bring water to your garden using poly tubing as shown in our Part One video.
  • Install a 10 PSI Pressure Regulator to ensure proper water pressure for the drip tape.
  • Connect to 1/2" poly tubing using a Drip Tape Loc Sleeve 1/2" Barbed Fitting or a 1/4" Barbed Fitting with Shut-Off Valve for individual control.
  • To end the line, use a Drip Tape Sleeve End or a Drip Tape Loc Sleeve with End Cap for flushing out the lines.
